The constructs of our urban landscape, relics of our past, are ultimately fighting a losing battle with the elements. The scars of this on-going fight are testament to this. Too easily however is the beauty in this decline overlooked. Too much of our architectural heritage is destroyed simply for having lived and for reflecting the marks of that life.
Peter’s work is inspired by the decay and degradation suffered by the architecture that surrounds us, creating pieces that celebrate the beauty found in this decay and the struggle between man and nature.
“The great struggle between the will of the spirit and the necessity of nature issues into real peace, in which the soul in its upward striving and nature in its gravity are held in balance”
